Power Efficiency, Minarik Sign Nationwide Distribution Agreement

January 05, 2010 by Jeff Shepard

Power Efficiency Corp. has signed a national agreement with Minarik Automation and Control, a distributor of industrial technology products. Minarik’s 60 sales professionals and over 20 application engineers bring the total external sales force marketing Power Efficiency products to approximately 150.

Scott Johnson, COO of Power Efficiency, said, "Launching the relationship with Minarik is a very important milestone in the development of our industrial sales channel. The channel currently consists of direct sales management, a network of fourteen independent manufacturer rep organizations, and now a growing number of industrial distributors. Minarik is a particularly important addition to the latter group due to their scope, technical expertise, and high profile reputation. Moreover, they target numerous markets, including our major target markets, such as machine builders and large end users involved in plastics, food processing, material handling, construction materials, and more. With seventeen stocking locations, and over fifty outside salespersons, Minarik substantially expands and deepens our sales coverage in important markets."

John Hegel, CEO of Minarik Automation & Control, said, "We at Minarik have long recognized clean tech as an important growth market for us. Many of our best customers are providers of clean/renewable energy systems. The new association with Power Efficiency Corp., along with other complementary high quality product offerings, strategically expands our participation in this growing field, positioning us as a clean technology provider ourselves. We see a large and growing market for products of this nature as our customers increasingly focus on methods to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and reduce their carbon emissions."
