Plug Power Inc. (Latham, NY) introduced the GenSys5C combined heat and power (CHP) fuel cell system. The Plug Power GenSys5C unit is installed and operating at the Town Hall in Babylon, NY, where it provides supplemental heat and electricity to the facility.
The GenSys5C captures the heat generated during the production of electricity and makes it available for integration into a heating or hot water system. The system is capable of generating 5kW of electricity and 9kW of heat and is available immediately, with an expected order-to-delivery lead-time of 8 to 10 weeks.
