Philips Semi Offers New uTrenchMOS Family

June 16, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Philips Semiconductors (San Jose, CA) announced two new devices in its µTrenchMOS family of products that reduce board space and minimize power and are suitable for all systems where power and/or space are critical factors, particularly for signal, load and low-power conversion applications in portable, hand-held devices and mobile communications.

Available as single- or dual-configured 20V, 30V and 60V µTrenchMOS devices in the ultra-compact SOT323 (SC-70 single) and SOT363 (SC-88 dual) packages, the devices boast low on-state resistances, parasitic capacitances and threshold voltage. Consequently, they deliver efficient and rapid switching, and can be driven directly from a battery without the need for power-hungry charge pumps.
