Phihong USA (Fremont, CA) has developed the PSA-31U adapter, a series designed for portable equipment, including notebook computers as well as computer peripherals and networking equipment. The adapter includes a three-wire standard IEC input connector and 90Vac to 264Vac universal input for worldwide operation. Seven models provide outputs ranging from +5Vdc to +48Vdc. Most models provide 30W of output power.
The PSA-31U delivers an appealing balance of small size, good regulation, low conducted noise and a variety of output options at a low cost. All models are UL1950 listed, CSA 22.2 950 and TUV ENG60950 safety approved. All models also meet FCC, EN55022 and VCCI Class B conducted and radiated emissions standards.
The PSA-31U includes a nonvented, spill-proof plastic case that eliminates shock hazards and a 1,500mm output cable with a 5.5mm output barrel connector. Pricing is $20.75 per 100-unit quantities, and all models are available off-the-shelf.
