ParkerVision Intros D2D Wireless Chips for Mobile Devices

ParkerVision Inc. (Jacksonville, FL), a manufacturer of chips and component products, announced a new line of efficient, high-performance, low-cost wireless chips. The new design extends the company's patented digital radio frequency transceiver technology called D2D (Direct2Data) to power amplifiers. Radio frequency amplifiers are used in cell phone, cordless phone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and VoIP products and applications.
Claiming a 50% to 80% reduction in power consumption with the new D2D technology, ParkerVision is working with OEMs and others that focus on high-volume applications.
