Online Power Supply Introduces New OPS-U-500-385 Front-End PFC Module

Online Power Supply (Englewood, CO) has introduced a new front-end PFC module, which the company claims is the only such unit that internally includes the EMI filter and hold-up capacitors. Measuring 5.7" x 2.9" x 1.6", the OPS-U-500-385 PFC front-end module delivers 500W at 385Vdc at 97 percent efficiency from a universal 85Vac to 264Vac input.

The unit weighs less than 2 pounds. It functions at full power over -40 degrees to 85 degrees C, making it suitable for placement in outdoor equipment such as communications towers and cell sites, the company said. The module features over-voltage, thermal protection and parallel operation. It is UL, CUL and TUV recognized and carries the CE mark.

The front-end module is priced at $253.41 in quantities from 1 to 999.
