Northwest Power Systems Changes Name to IdaTech

April 18, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Northwest Power Systems (Bend, OR) will change its name to IdaTech, effective May 1, 2000. The name change is linked with Northwest's decision earlier this year to become a manufacturer of fully integrated fuel cell systems and with IDA Corp's assumed majority ownership of Northwest Power Systems in April 1999.

"IdaTech better communicates our company's involvement in making a new generation of high-technology power equipment in the 21st century," said Alan Guggenheim, Northwest Power Systems president.
