NMB Minebea Adds New 280R125 Radial Blower

April 29, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

NMB Minebea (Andover, MA) announced the addition of its new 280R125 280mmm, backward-curved radial blower to its range of high-efficiency blowers specifically developed for the electronics and telecommunications markets. It is suitable for medium-pressure applications such as heat exchangers and cabinet cooling.

Features include a maximum static pressure of 490 Pascal, airflow of 1.700m3 per hour, a voltage range of 36Vdc to 60Vdc, a maximum current consumption at 48V of 3A, a speed of 1.800U/min at 48V, and a temperature range of –40 to +60 degrees C.

The 280R125 is resistant to adverse environmental conditions and can be used for both internal and external sections of the cooling circuit. The fully enclosed electronics and the steel impeller are protected against adverse environments. The blower is powered by an external brushless dc motor with NMB ball bearings for longer life and high reliability. The 280R125 is fabricated from plated steel for low weight and high strength, and delivers up to 1.700m3/h in a free-air environment. The size of the 280R125 model is 280mm x 125mm. Fully customized blowers and blower modules are available on request.
