TranSiC, a manufacturer of power transistors in wide bandgap Silicon Carbide, announced that it has hired Bo Andersson as CEO.

"Bo Andersson brings a long experience from top management on industrial base and expertise in how to structure a young growing company." said Bo Hammarlund, VP S&M and co-founder. "Bo Andersson is an ex Ericsson Microelectronics CEO with long experience from starting his early days in semiconductor business as process developer. This is a perfect match to our need to grow TranSiC to become a world wide leader in Silicon Carbide based Power transistors."

Andersson commented, "I’m very excited to be part of such a strong team with Silicon Carbide power transistor technology and for so many clean-tech applications. Also it feels very good to have such a strong team of investors – Volvo Technology Transfer, Midroc New Technology and Industrifonden – willing to invest to grow this new industry in Sweden."
