IFX Power plc (UK) announced that it has changed its name to XP Power plc. The IFX Power Group was formed by the merger of International Power Sources Inc. (IPS, Boston, MA), ForeSight Electronics Inc. (Sunnyvale, CA) and XP plc (Pangbourne, UK) in July 2000. Over the last 18 months the group has adopted "XP" as its brand in both North America and Europe.
All new product introductions during this period have been under the XP brand and all operating companies now trade under the XP umbrella. IPS, now XPiQ Inc., which also includes the recent acquisition of SSI Inc. (Anaheim, CA), is the group’s manufacturing division; ForeSight, now XP-ForeSight Inc., is the group’s US sales channel; and XP plc is responsible for European Sales.
