January 03, 2019 by Paul Shepard

Tenavolts, a brand and subsidiary of Fujian Nanping Nanfu Battery Co., Ltd. which is one of the biggest alkaline battery manufacturers in Asia, has come out with a new generation of lithium rechargeable battery. Nanfu will exhibit the new batteries at CES in the wireless service section of No. 44374 on the second floor of Sands Expo.

As a result of 4 years of R&D efforts, Tenavolts has devised a battery design that the company says overcomes the deficits of conventional rechargeable AA battery including insufficient usage life, unstable output, and longer charging time.

Uniquely the lifespan of the Tenavolts lithium battery boasts up to 1,000 recharge cycles. It delivers a 1.5V consistent voltage and charges up in just two hours. The rechargeable batteries offer a charge capacity of 750 mAh. For comparison, conventional AA alkaline batteries with a single charge cycle have a charge capacity of between 1700 mAh and 2850 mAh. The batteries offer comparable output, current, and energy capacity to alkaline batteries, but unlike alkaline batteries, they can be recharged up to 1000 times. The company also developed a custom-designed USB-powered portable battery charger.

As a result of these developments, Tenavolts has obtained 6 national and world patents. The design features a built-in chip that prevents charging in abnormal situations, such as a short circuit or extreme temperatures to help guarantee safe usage.

Nanfu, the maker of Tenavolts launched a crowdfunding campaign on the top crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo, and the company reached its funding goal within 24 hours since the launch.
