The Electric Vehicle Association of the Americas (EVAA, Washington, DC) is hosting the North American Electric Vehicle and Infrastructure Conference and Exposition, NAEVI 1999, November 17-20, in Atlanta, GA. The world's biggest auto companies, as well as some of the most innovative electric vehicle product manufacturers, are set to show a number of new technologies at NAEVI 1999.

NAEVI 1999 is designed to demonstrate the EV industry's technological momentum and continuing progress toward commercial development in North America. Topics to be covered during the three-day event include defining the role of EVs in the 21st century transportation strategies, advancing environmentally superior non-road EV alternatives, and moving from design to reality with the newest EV technologies.

The public will be invited to explore the exhibit hall and to test drive the EVs on hand at the NAEVI 1999 Public Day, November 20, 1999. The two "core" days of the NAEVI 99 industry conference and exhibition will be November 18-19, 1999.

Some of the companies exhibiting EVs at the conference will include EVAA member companies DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Nissan and Toyota. All types of EV technologies will be displayed, including battery-powered EVs, hybrid vehicles and fuel cell EVs. The vehicles will range in size from scooters to electric buses.
