MTS Adds New Sensors to Temposonics Line

October 22, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

MTS Systems Corp. (Cary, NC) announced that non-contact linear displacement measurement performance is now available in commercial-grade packages that provide the performance of magnetostrictive sensing in affordable complete or modular sensors for high-volume applications.

The sensors offer new choices for designers of automotive suspension and steering systems, medical mobility devices, marine steering and trim systems, agricultural equipment, appliance control, commercial weighing systems, and others.

The Temposonics commercial sensor line offers no wear, non-contact reliability and absolute position convenience in a form that will fit most space-constrained, cost-sensitive applications. The technology is capable of multiple position measurements and rotary-alone or rotary and linear solutions.
