Mitsubishi Aims to Sell Fuel-Cell Vehicles in 2003

According to news reports, Mitsubishi Motors Corp. (Japan) is aiming to have a fuel-cell vehicle for sale in 2003. The automaker is reportedly quadrupling the size of its fuel-cell team from five members to 20. The company is working jointly with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. and plans to produce a prototype vehicle in 2000. Mitsubishi Motors will also be working with Mitsubishi Oil Co. to develop a liquid fuel that could be used instead of gasoline.
