Micrel Offers New MIC922/MIC923 Op Amps

September 09, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Micrel Semiconductor Inc. (San Jose, CA) announced its new MIC922 and MIC923 tiny, low-power, high-gain-bandwidth, operational amplifiers. The MIC923 achieves a 2,200V/µs slew-rate with a 410MHz gain-bandwidth product, and the MIC922 achieves a gain-bandwidth of 230MHz and a slew-rate of 1,500V/µs.

Intended for signal buffering, the MIC922 is unity-gain stable, and the MIC923 is optimized for applications with a gain of two or greater. The MIC923 is a decompensated version of the MIC922. To ensure stability, the MIC923 must be configured for a minimum gain of two. Both devices are capable of driving unlimited capacitance.

Manufactured in SC-70 packaging, the MIC922 and MIC923 are both specified for supply voltages of ±2.5V and ±9V. The PSRR is 87dB, CMRR is 83dB and AVOL is 86dB.
