Micrel Launches New MIC5264 LDO Voltage Regulator

June 27, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Micrel Inc. (San Jose, CA) launched its MIC5264, a new dual low-dropout voltage (LDO) regulator offered in a miniature 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm MLFTM package. The device gives designers a solution that offers a 30% size reduction from previous-generation products. The MIC5264 is a multi-purpose solution, suitable for a wide variety of portable power products, including RF and digital applications.

The MIC5264 is designed to provide 150 mA on each independently controllable output, and comes with a range of fixed-voltage options. Each output has low output noise and high-power supply rejection ratio, along with transient response and low current consumption.

The MIC5264 is lead-free (RoHS-compliant) and currently sampling. Pricing starts at $0.49 in 1,000-unit quantities.
