Maxim Introduces New MAX1886 Op Amp

October 07, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Maxim Integrated Products (Sunnyvale, CA) introduced the MAX1886, a high-current operational transconductance amplifier. The high peak current

(>500mA) drive capability of the MAX1886 provides a fast response to pulsed-load conditions. The device is stable from 0.47µF to an unlimited amount of output capacitance.

The MAX1886 is available in the low-profile (1.1mm maximum), five-pin, thin SOT23 package and fully specified over the -40 to +85 degrees C extended temperature range.

Key features include +4.5V to +13V input supply, 0.45mA quiescent current, and thermal fault protection. Applications include notebook and monitor LCD panels.
