Matsushita Unveils EFTU11R0MX50/R8MX50 Transformers

Matsushita Electronic Components Co. Ltd. (Japan) introduced its new EFTU11R0MX50 and EFTU11R8MX50 piezoelectric transformers, which provide a transfer ratio of 50 and a transfer efficiency of up to 93 percent, making them suitable for use in backlight inverters of LCDs found in portable devices such as PDAs and cellular phones.
The multilayer devices measure 19mm x 4mm x 1.9mm and feature 100kHz of resonant frequency. The EFTU11R0MX50 and EFTU11R8MX50 have a maximum input power of 1W and 1.8W, respectively.
