Magnetically-Shielded 2000V Isolation Double Chokes Handle up to 2.45A per Side
Würth Elektronik eiSos has debuted the WE-TDC HV, a double choke optimized for SMT assembly. The magnetically shielded 1:1 transformers feature an isolation voltage of 2,000V. The WE-TDC HV transformers offer lower losses and a low level of stray inductance compared to similar transformers.
They are suitable for use in switching controllers with a second, unregulated output voltage, in buck, boost, Sepic, Zeta, and CUK converters, as well as in isolated converter applications with high packaging density (e.g. flyback converters).
The WE-TDC HV product family is comprised of nine different models --five come in an 8038 package and four in an 8018 package. A height of just 1.8mm makes these chokes unique in their class.
WE-TDC HV chokes are specified for the extended operating temperature from -40°C to +125°C and have functional isolation for a working voltage of 250Vrms.
