Mabuchi Motor Co. Ltd. (Japan) announced the RF-370CB Series of miniature motors that measure 24.4mm x 30.8mm, with a shaft diameter of 2mm, and a weight of 51g. These devices are intended to address the demand for lower-noise motors for automotive air-conditioning units. Two versions are being offered: the RF-370CB-11670 and the RF-370CB-081100.

The RF-370CB-11670 features a 0.11mm magnet-wire diameter and 670 armature winding turns. It operates via a 7V to 16V supply, with nominal voltage of 12V. The no-load speed is 3,100rpm and the no-load current is 10mA. At maximum efficiency, the company reports that the device runs at 2,500rpm via a 59mA current. It exhibits a torque of 16g-cm and delivers 0.41W output. Stall torque is rated at 106g-cm and stall current is 0.32A.

The RF-370CB-081100 is constructed with an 80um magnet-wire diameter and provides 1,100 armature winding turns. At no-load condition, it runs at 3,700rpm and draws 7mA. At maximum efficiency, the speed is rated at 3,100rpm, current is 39mA, torque is rated at 17g-cm and output is 0.54W. Stall torque is 111g-cm and the stall current is 0.21A.
