LTC Offers LTC2903-1 Quad Supply Monitor

December 02, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Linear Technology Corp. (LTC, Milpitas, CA) introduced its LTC2903-1, a quad supply monitor in a tiny six-lead ThinSOT™ (SOT-23) package that ensures a valid RESET##CRLF# signal for Vcc down to 500mV. The LTC2903-1 provides 10% under-voltage monitoring with tight ±1.5% voltage threshold accuracy that guarantees reliable reset operation without false triggering.

The LTC2903-1 has a typical supply current of 20µA, which is suitable for power-conscious systems. In addition, the small size makes it suitable for portable intelligent instruments, PCs, and network and telecom equipment. A variety of factory-trimmed, voltage combinations are available to accommodate different input supplies with minimal external component requirements, including internally fixed options for monitoring +5.0V, +3.3V, +2.5V, +1.8V, -5.2V and an adjustable input that accepts supplies as low as 0.5V.

Pricing for the LTC2903-1 begin at $1.65 each in 1,000-piece quantities. The part is specified over the commercial and industrial temperature ranges.
