LTC Offers LT6200-5 and LT6200-10 Op Amps

June 17, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Linear Technology Corp. (LTC, Milpitas, CA) introduced the LT6200-10 and the LT6200-5 ultra-low noise (0.95nV/rtHz), rail-to-rail input and output operational amplifiers. The LT6200-10 features a 1.6GHz gain bandwidth product, 450V/µs slew rate and is stable at gains of 10 or higher. The LT6200-5 features an 800MHz gain-bandwidth product, 250V/µs slew rate and is stable at gains of five or higher.

The LT6200-10 and LT6200-5 are suitable for use as ultra-low noise preamplifiers in low-voltage signal-conditioning systems where the widest dynamic range is necessary. The combination of ultra-low noise and low distortion, wide gain bandwidth, and high slew rate, coupled with low dc errors, make the devices suitable for use in areas such as medical diagnostics, communications and opto-electronics.

Operating on either single or split supplies from 2.5V to 12.6V total, the LT6200-10 and the LT6200-5 feature a shutdown pin that reduces supply current to less than 1.8mA during standby conditions. Fully specified for operation over the industrial and commercial temperature ranges, the devices are offered in the six-pin SOT-23 and the eight-pin SOIC packages. Pricing starts at $1.50 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
