Linear Technology Unveils New LTC6800 Amplifier

February 11, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Linear Technology Corp. (Milpitas, CA) introduced the new LTC6800, a low-cost, high-precision, instrumentation amplifier that features rail-to-rail input and output, works on a single 3V supply, and is available in an MSOP-8 package. The LTC6800 is suitable for transducer interfaces in a variety of bridge circuits ranging from medical applications to industrial and automotive.

Featuring dc accuracy, the LTC6800 offset voltage is guaranteed below 100µV, the offset drift is 0.25µV/°C, and the input offset current is limited to a maximum of only 3nA. The LTC6800 offers a high common-mode rejection ratio of 116dB that is gain independent, the LTC6800's differential inputs operate from rail-to-rail, and the output swings rail-to-rail. Operational from 2.7V to 5.5V, the LTC6800 draws less than 1.8mA supply current and is guaranteed functional from -40°C to +125°C.

The LTC6800 is priced at $1.55 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
