March 18, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Liebert Corp. (Columbus, OH) has introduced Foundation, a new integrated enclosure system designed to protect computer networking equipment. The Foundation Enclosure can be scaled up in features and level of protection from a rack enclosure to a fully integrated "mini computer room" system.

The Foundation system comes in an array of sizes and enhancements to meet specific user needs. It is available with bundled UPS and monitoring, and the adjustable rack-mount system supports most major network equipment manufacturers. It has multi-point door latching on all door levels for enhanced security. The Foundation Mini Computer Room has integrated computer-grade support including air conditioning, power and monitoring. In addition, the mini computer room has an online UPS and cooling system as well as a back-up cooling system.

“The Foundation system allows you to organize and protect critical networking equipment with Liebert's computer-grade support, including environmental control, power protection, monitoring and security. Foundation provides ‘one-stop shopping' for protection with single-source responsibility and complete solutions, now and in the future," commented Phil Aldag, product manager for Liebert's integrated systems. “Foundation has the flexibility to accommodate both changes in equipment and future growth, which provides significant cost savings by building on your original investment."
