Lambda Intros RP Series Power Supplies

March 21, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

Lambda Electronics Inc. (Melville, NY) introduced the new RP Series, claimed to be the industry's first line of standard power supplies to comply with the EMC directive for CE marking. The power supplies offer an adjustable (3.0V-5.75V) main output combined with higher powered 3.3V and 5V auxiliary outputs, suiting them for VME applications. Additional 3.3, 5, 12, 24 and 48V outputs may be added.

The power supplies also feature a wide 85-265Vac input range, making them ideal for worldwide use. All models include active power factor correction circuitry. The 500W and 1000W models have a package height of 2.5 inches. Triple, quad and pent output power supplies are available.

Typical pricing for the RP Series averages $0.60 per Watt in OEM quantities, depending on the modules chosen.
