Lambda Electronics Expands Its PAH Series with New Dual-Output Power Module

September 21, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Lambda Electronics Inc. (Melville, NY) expanded its half-brick PAH Series of dc/dc converters with the introduction of the product family's first dual-output module. The 75W dual-output power module targets on-board distributed-power applications in the telecommunications industry.

"All PAH Series power modules provide industry-standard pinouts and footprints to allow for easy integration into existing systems. The PAH Series power modules were designed specifically for the telecom industry, where power applications are moving more toward distributed-power architectures," said Lambda Product Manager Dorrel Vernon. "Our half-brick dc/dc power modules provide customers with a quality alternative for these applications, offering repeatable high-level performance that ensures system up-time for critical power applications."

The PAH Series offers outputs of 3.3V and 5V with an efficiency of 82 percent. The series operates in a baseplate temperature range from -40 degrees to 100 degrees C.
