Lambda Electronic's (Melville, NY) SM Series of surface-mountable dc/dc converters was awarded top honors at Wireless Design and Development's awards breakfast on February 23, 2000, in San Jose, CA.
The winners are chosen by the publication's editorial advisory board, readers and editors, and must meet the criteria of being technologically innovative, useful and unique in design. Lamda's SM Series was the first high-power dc/dc converter lightweight enough to be handled by existing pick-and-place equipment.
The SM Series features a low-profile (0.4") surface-mount package that facilitates tight card pitch requirements.
