ITW Paktron Announces Surfilm ST Type Capacitors

February 16, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

ITW Paktron (Lynchburg, VA) announced its Surfilm® Type ST capacitors, which offer a temperature range of -55 °C to +85 °C to 125 °C with a 50 percent voltage derating, as well as a capacitance drift of less than/equal to 2 percent over two years at a temperature of between 0 °C and 35 °C, and a RH of between 35 percent and 65 percent.

The Surfilm capacitors feature a capacitance range of 1.0 µfd, 2.0 µfd and 2.2 µfdat 1 kHz; a voltage range of 100 Vdc; a tolerance of ±10 percent; a dissipation factor of <1.0 percent at 1 kHz; a temperature coefficient of +6.0 percent from -55 °C to +85 °C (typical); and a self inductance of 6.0 nH to 9.0 nH (typical).
