IR Presents MTP Family of Bridge Rectifiers

June 27, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

International Rectifier Corp. (IR, El Segundo, CA) introduced the MTP family of high-current, three-phase, input bridge rectifiers, suitable for industrial applications such as uninterruptible power supplies, motor drives and welding.

The MTP family of rectifiers are housed in a compact, low-profile 12mm package, compatible with many mounting standards. The output pins are double-wide to decrease interconnect inductance and improve conductivity. Two terminal configurations are available to accommodate a multitude of automated- or hand-insertion printed circuit board assembly methods.

The MTP Series bridge rectifier family consists of the 40MT (45A rating at a case temperature of 100 degrees C), the 70MT and 100MT (75A and 100A rating at a case temperature of 80 degrees C, respectively). The new bridge rectifiers have an insulation voltage rating of 3,500Vrms, with a repetitive peak reverse-voltage rating of 1,400V and 1,600V. The maximum leakage current is 5mA at 125 degrees C.

The new three-phase bridge rectifiers are now available. Pricing is $11 each for the 40MT, $13 each for the 70MT and $15 each for the 100MT in 1,000-unit quantities.
