IR Debuts New K Series HEXFET Power MOSFETs

International Rectifier Corp. (IR, El Segundo, CA) introduced the new 600V K Series HEXFET® power MOSFETs that have 45 percent lower on-resistance and can handle 75 percent more current in the TO-247 package compared to previous-generation devices. The new MOSFETs are designed for hard-switched topologies found in off-line, switch-mode power supplies rated at 300W and above for telecom and datacom systems.

The new K Series MOSFETs have up to four times higher dV/dt immunity than previous-generation devices and offer better ruggedness. Low gate charge makes the new devices easy to drive. The new hard-switched MOSFETs are available immediately. Pricing begins at $1.96 each for the 600V devices, and $1.39 each for the 500V devices, in 10,000-unit quantities.
