IP65, 9.9kW/200Vac UPS/Power Conditioner for Wind and Hydropower
Sanyo Denki Co., Ltd. has released the grid-connected, isolated type SANUPS W73A power conditioner for wind power and hydropower generation systems. It delivers 9.9kW output power for 3-phase, 3-wire 200Vac systems. Combined with a wind-power or hydro-power generation system, it is essential for use as an emergency stand-alone power supply and off-grid power supply on isolated islands.
The system converts wind or hydropower to ac power and can operate even in the event of a power outage or in places where power is not available. The grid-connected and isolated operation modes can be automatically switched. DC input voltage and power characteristics can be freely set according to the system need to maximize the yield of wind and water turbines.
The W73A features superior waterproof and dustproof performance with an IP65 protection rating. With the isolated operation mode, ac power can be obtained from wind power or hydropower generation systems even in the event of a power outage or in places where power is not available.

The device allows automatic switching of the grid-connected and isolated operation modes. Also, dc input voltage and power characteristics can be freely set according to the system to maximize the yield of wind and water turbines.
With an IP65 protection rating, the W73A features superior waterproof and dustproof performance. The degree of protection (IP code) is defined by IEC 60529 (International Electrotechnical Commission). The IP65 rating means that the power supply is completely protected against dust and protected against water jets.
