Intertech Announces Workshop on the Transition from 14V to 42V Systems
Intertech Corp. (Portland, ME) anounced a new workshop called The Transition from 14V to 42V Systems. The workshop will be held on September 19 through 20, 2001, at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago, Illinois. It will be held immediately after a two-day summit by Intertech, 42V Automotive Systems, which lasts from September 17 through 18 at the Hotel Sofitel, also in Chicago.
Intended to provide an overview of the opportunities and challenges of 42V systems, the The Transition from 14V to 42V Systems workshop will include seminars on starters, alternators and starter-alternators; semiconductor roadmaps and higher voltages; batteries and supercapacitors; minimal hybrids using 42V; systems, loads and power-control architecture; and dc/dc conversion transitional voltages. Other topics will include 42V standards, potential problems with 42V, voltages beyond 42V, and the impact of 42V on materials selection. The instructers will be Randy Frank and John G.W. West.
Each participant in the workshop will receive a 300-page illustrated workbook. No prerequisites or prior knowledge of the systems is required. The workshop is intended for application engineers, product designers, automotive engineers, quality managers, semiconductor and components suppliers, and product research specialists. Registration can be done online and costs $1,095.
