Intersil Announces the Endura ISL6235 System Electronics Regulator

August 12, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Intersil Corp. (Irvine, CA) announced the Endura ISL6235 system electronics regulator, designed for use in LDC PC systems. The Endura ISL6235 integrates three PWM controllers and two linear regulators into a 24-pin SSOP package. It provides five regulated voltages for LCD PC system electronics.

Intersil reports that the Endura ISL6235 provides up to 97 percent PWM efficiency while delivering a highly integrated, multiple-output controller that simplifies design, reduces component count, increases system efficiency and lowers total layout size. It is claimed to offer the highest level of linear and PWM controller integration in the industry. The regulator also enables n-channel MOSFETs to be deployed in lieu of p-channel MOSFETs.

The ISL6235, in 10,000-piece quantities, is priced at $2.66.
