International Power Sources Introduces New IFR-1302RP Series Power Supplies

January 02, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

International Power Sources Inc. (Holliston, MA) has introduced a new dual-output, hot-pluggable, ac/dc power supply, the IFR-1302RP Series. Measuring 4.5" x 5.7" x 1.6", the new converters supply 230W and are designed for application in rack-mounted RAID storage, network, server and telecom systems.

The company claims that the new series is easy to install and that, with a universal input voltage of 90Vac to 264Vac, there is no need to configure the supply with jumpers, switches or cables. Outputs are 5.5V at 15A and 12.5V at 15A, with optional remote sense. Input-to-output isolation is greater than 3,000Vac.

Additionally, the converters bear approvals from UL, cUL and TÜL, as well as EMI limits per FCC and CISPR, and the CE mark. Conducted harmonic emissions are below EN6100-3-2 limits, and voltage accuracy is better than five percent at full load. The series has protection schemes for over-voltage and short-circuiting.

OEM quantity pricing for the IFR-1302RP Series is below $115. Prototype quantities are available from stock.
