Infineon Technologies Introduces the TLE4942 Hall-Effect Sensor

As part of its effort to enable leading-edge technological developments in the auto industry, Infineon Technologies Corp. (San Jose, CA) introduced the TLE4942, an integrated hall-effect sensor jointly developed by Infineon and Robert Bosch GmbH (Stuttgart, Germany) for wheel-speed detection in anti-lock braking systems.
The TLE4942 is designed to reduce the overall cost of the anti-lock braking system/traction-control system, and features specific two-wire PWM current interface and diagnostics regarding the quality of the magnetic field, bidirectional speed detection, and a temperature range of -40 degrees to 150 degrees C in harsh environments.
Samples are now available now at $1.25 each in 10,000-unit quantities.
