IFR Announces PAN-A 60 Series of Kikusui Power Supplies

August 15, 1999 by Jeff Shepard

IFR Systems Inc. (Wichita Falls, KS) announced the availability of PAN-A 60 Series from Kikusui Electric Corp. (Japan), the latest in a family of dc power supplies. The PAN-A 60 products are replacements for the existing Kikusui PAN-A 55 models and offer the power necessary for test engineers who are responsible for research and development, quality control or production of 48V devices.

Models in the PAN-A 60 Series are designed to include over-voltage protection and other safety functions. If an over-voltage is generated by operator error, or by accident, the supply protects the connected load by immediately shutting down the power-switch circuit-protector. Additional features include low temperature drift of 100ppm per degree C (constant voltage) and 300ppm per degree C (constant current). The PAN-A 60 Series offers users quick transient response. The products are capable of systemization, including analog signal- or computer-based remote control, remote sensing, and master-slave-control serial and parallel operations.

"With the introduction of these products, we maintain our commitment to providing highly reliable, user-oriented benchtop test equipment that meets customers needs," said Tom Haygarth, Kikusui product manager, IFR. "Extreme time-to-market pressures make it necessary for organizations to incorporate

appropriate equipment in today's test labs. Using feature-rich test equipment, such as products within the PAN-A 60 Series, enables companies to bring better products to market, faster."

The PAN-A 60 models are currently available upon receipt of order and are priced from $1,019.
