Huanyu Power Source Co. Ltd. (China) announced the superior lithium-ion polymer battery (SLPB) Series of lithium batteries, which offer safe usage and an increased energy density of up to 178Wh/kg. The batteries also exhibit high electrical and thermal performance and are designed for use in portable devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, notebook PCs, digital cameras, MP3 players, CD players and MD players.
The SLPB Series features seven models all specified with a nominal voltage of 3.7V, a maximum charging current of 1CmA, and a maximum discharging current of 2CmA over temperatures ranging from -20 to +60 degrees C. They charge via a 4.2V supply (±30mV) for 2.5h.
The SLPB 353462, which measures 62mm x 34mm x 3.5mm, has a nominal capacity of 570mAh and an energy density of 165Wh/kg. The SLPB 523462 provides 960mAh nominal capacity and 178Wh/kg density. It measures 62mm x 34mm x 5.2mm. Featuring dimensions measuring 95mm x 64mm x 4.5mm, the SLPB 456495 offers a nominal capacity of 2.5Ah and up to 173Wh/kg energy density.
