HiTek Debuts New HT9827 Series Power Supply

February 07, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

HiTek Power (Santee, CA) introduced its new HT9827 Series 100W switching power supply with high output current pulse capability and a compact U-channel package that makes it suitable for use in thermal printers, medical devices, ATM machines, wireless radio amplifiers, outdoor light arrays, and numerous other types of computer peripheral, telecommunications, test and industrial equipment.

The HT9827 single-output, ac/dc power supply has a low-profile design, measuring only 1.5in x 3in x 5in, and weighing less than 1lb. Its three-sided casing enhances thermal performance by allowing convection cooling, which enables the power supply to operate at its full output rating without fan cooling.

The HT9827 Series comprises four models, with output ratings of 5V to 6V,

12V to 16V, 24V to 30V and 48V to 56V. Input frequency is 47Hz~63Hz; the input voltage is 90Vac to 132Vac/180Vac to 264Vac, auto selectable. Features include remote on/off; power good; and over-temperature, over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection with automatic recovery. In addition, the series meets all international safety and emission specifications.

The HT9827 Series power supplies are priced starting at $58 in production quantities, and come with a one-year warranty. Availability is stock to eight weeks.
