Gridco Systems Raises $8M for Digital-Powered Smart Grid

Gridco Systems, a startup developing digital power electronics and founded by Sycamore Network’s founder Naimish Patel, announced that it has secured an $8 million Series B round according to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Gridco is developing what it describes as a new generation of utility-scale power management systems. Privately held, the company is based in Boston, Massachusetts and is backed by investors General Catalyst Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners and RockPort Capital.
