Intersil Corp. (Milpitas, CA) reported that its Chairman, Greg Williams, plans to leave his position in May 2005. No reason was given for his departure. Williams has served on Intersil’s board of directors since the company’s IPO in 2000, and as chairman since May 2002. Intersil’s board of directors reported that a new chairman would be elected after its annual shareholders meeting on May 11, 2005.
"Over the course of time, I have enjoyed playing key roles in enabling Intersil to become a great independent company," stated Williams. "I believe the company is positioned for success having built a strong foundation."
