Green Mountain Energy's Turbines Providing for "Wind for the Future"

Green Mountain Energy (San Francisco) announced that its wind turbines in San Gorgonio Pass, California, are now providing energy for the company's Wind for the Future power blend customers. According to Green Mountain, the wind turbines are the first new renewable energy resources constructed as a direct result of customer choice in deregulated electricity markets.PacifiCorp (Portland, OR), which was selected by Green Mountain in 1997 as its first wholesale supplier of renewable energy products, owns the turbines. SeaWest WindPower (San Diego, CA) is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the turbines, which were built by NEG Micon (Denmark).
