Gowanda Electronics (Gowanda, NY) announced the introduction of a new high-efficiency series of surface-mount power inductors, the SMP 1812 Series, which delivers the highest current rating of any inductor currently available in this package design, according to the company. The SMP 1812 Series is targeted for use in dc/dc converters and power supply applications.
The new inductor series features inductance from 1µH to 330µH, current ratings from 2,018mA to 124mA and saturation current from 2,500mA to 129mA. An RF version of the SMP 1812 Series is also available.
Typical pricing for the SMP 1812 Series is $0.29 each in production quantities.
