Global Mixed-Mode Technology Inc. (GMMT, Taiwan) introduced the new G5111 step-up, dc/dc converter, which is packaged in a SOT23-5 casing, operates from a 2.5V to 6.5V input and delivers up to 28V, making the IC suitable for use in PDAs, hand-held computers, digital-still cameras and mobile phones.
The G5111 dc/dc device can also be used to boost white LED drivers used in mobile phones and to perform 3V to 5V conversions. The G5111 draws 20µA during operation and <1µA during shutdown mode.
