Gemini Instratech Presents GCT Series Transformers

Gemini Instratech Pvt Ltd. (India) presented the GCT Series of step-down, current transformers, which are rated at 36kV and transform a primary current between 5A to 2kA into a secondary current of 1A to 5A. The devices use oil-impregnated paper as their main insulation material and a stainless-steel diaphragm to compensate for oil-volume variations due to changes in ambient temperature.

The transformers feature a dry- and wet-withstand test voltage of 70kVrms for the primary side, and 3kVrms for the secondary side, and also can withstand up to 70kVrms of lightning impulses for up to 50µs.
