GE Fanuc Automation Names Jeff Christensen New President and CEO of Motion Business

GE Fanuc Automation (Charlottesville, VA) has named Jeff Christensen as the new president and CEO of the GE Fanuc motion business. In his new position, Christensen will provide strategic direction and leadership to the combined PLC and Whedco motion business. Ed Amonsen, CEO and general manager of Whedco, will report to Christensen, who will report to Vince Tullo, senior vice president of GE Fanuc's automation equipment business.

Christensen began his career with GE in 1986 as an industrial outside sales representative. He later served as a PLC specialist and a regional PLC specialist before joining GE Fanuc in 1992 as an automation sales engineer. Christensen's work with GE Fanuc includes positions such as marketing program manager and manager of control and I/O hardware. Before his promotion to motion business president, Christensen was manager of the control and I/O business. He received his BS in electrical engineering from Baylor University.
