GE Energy Adds New 1900/65 Equipment Monitor

September 20, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

GE Energy (Atlanta, GA) announced an important addition to its Bently Nevada™ product offerings with the introduction of an all-new vibration, position and temperature monitor, the 1900/65 General Purpose Equipment Monitor.

Targeting essential and balance-of-plant equipment, the 1900/65 is designed to offer affordable, stand-alone, multi-channel monitoring on those assets that require continuous machinery protection but do not warrant the cost of larger, more sophisticated monitoring systems that are intended for critical turbomachinery. It can be easily retrofitted to existing machines or used by OEMs for cost-effective inclusion on smaller skid-mounted and packaged machines such as pumps, fans, blowers, generators, engines and single-stage steam turbines.

With a compact footprint that is smaller than half a sheet of notebook paper (200 mm x 150 mm) and less than 75 mm thick, the 1900/65 provides eight input channels, six configurable alarm relays, four 4 mA to 20 mA outputs, buffered output facilities for easy connection to portable diagnostic instruments, and an optional display that can be mounted locally or up to 75 m away.

The 1900/65 General Purpose Equipment Monitor will begin shipping to customers in January 2005.
