Evercel's New Corporate Facilities and Pilot Production Line

Evercel Inc. (Danbury, CT) has opened its new corporate facilities and pilot production line, which will be dedicated to providing market samples of its rechargeable nickel-zinc batteries for field testing. Full scale production facilities are located in Xiamen, China through a joint venture with Xiamen Three Circles-ERC Battery Corp. Ltd. The Danbury facility will serve as their worldwide headquarters for marketing and sales and R & D."The facility is dedicated to product improvement, manufacturing process improvement and the small scale manufacturing necessary to meet our marketing, sales and R&D requirements," said Robert Kanode, President and CEO of Evercel. Evercel plans to offer its batteries for sale through OEMs. First applications targeted are small electric vehicles, such as bikes and scooters and battery-operated equipment such as lawnmowers.
