Europtronic Co. Ltd. (China) announced its new MPFA Series of polypropylene film capacitors, which are claimed by the company to withstand high currents and frequencies of up to 100kHz, making them suitable for use in color monitor circuits.
The devices operate from -40 to +85 degrees C and are rated at 2kVdc and 2.5kVdc. They have an insulation resistance of >50 gigaohms and a dissipation factor of <0.01 (1kHz, 25 degrees C). The capacitors are available in sizes of ranging from 30mm x 14.5mm x 6.5mm to 43mm x 34.5mm x 23mm and capacitance values from 1nF to 33nF with ±2 percent, ±5 percent or ±10 percent tolerance.
