Epcos Ltd. (Hong Kong) unveiled its polymer tantalum capacitors in a 7.3 mm x 4.3 mm x 1.5 mm case size. The polymer series is distinguished from the standard tantalum types by its low ESR, which reaches a maximum of 40 m for the B45292R1157M41 and 50 m for the B45292R1157M40, and remains stable over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.
Suitable for use in mobile phones, notebooks, personal digital assistants and other portable equipment, the capacitors feature a capacitance of 150 µF for a rated voltage of 6.3 V. The operating temperature range is between -55 °C and +105 °C. The devices are supplied on blister tapes on 180 mm or 330 mm reels.
