The board of Energy Visions Inc. (EVI, Ottawa, ON) announced that Philip Whiting has been appointed President of Energy Ventures Inc. (Canada). Whiting currently serves as a member of the board of directors and as vice president of research and development at EVI.
EVI also announced that Steven Carkner, formerly of Research in Motion Ltd., has been appointed Technical Director, Battery Division. Carkner held the positions of Director of Product Development, Director of Energy Research and Director of Intellectual Property Research.
The board of EVI expects that the appointments of Whiting and Carkner will expedite the commercialization of the technologies in EVI's intellectual property pool.
